New York, NY – August 22, 2016 – Celebrated for his beauty, elegance and power, Frederik The Great is an award-winning, pure bred Friesian stallion who will join Rolex Central Park Horse Show on Friday evening, September 23, 2016, and Saturday evening, September 24, 2016, as part of the multi-day equestrian show at Wollman Rink.

Born in the Netherlands where the Friesian breed first originated, Frederik is a 15-year-old, award-winning dressage horse with his own YouTube channel that has reached over 14 million views. He is based in the scenic Ozarks of Northwest, Arkansas when he is not traveling to compete in national competitions throughout the year. With one of the thickest and longest manes of any Friesian stallion, Frederik has been approached to star in major feature films and will also appear in a ten part mini-series titled, “Frederik The Great Behind the Beauty,” which will be released in spring 2017, as well as a documentary titled, “They have no voices” to be released in fall 2017.

Rolex Central Park Horse Show is sanctioned by the United States Equestrian Federation and the Federation Equestre International and is the first equestrian show at the Wollman Rink.

As one of the most anticipated equestrian events of the year, the Rolex Central Park Horse Show returns to New York City’s iconic Wollman Rink from Wednesday, September 21 to Sunday, September 25, 2016. The third-annual event will feature five days of diverse programming and daily exhibitions of different breeds and disciplines, ranging from Arabians, Show Jumping, Dressage, Hunters and more. The Rolex Central Park Horse Show will also feature free events available for families, kids and the public, including pony rides, equestrian demonstrations, presentations and other activities.
